YOGA - Hand Balance & Inversion Workshop

Sunday 19th May 9.30am-12.30pm -£47
Join Sophie for a fun, challenging workshop to take your yoga practice to another level. Often its not that you can’t do such postures, its having the time to learn the technique to do so, (which they’re often isn’t time for in an hours class!!) This workshop is perfect for those who like to challenge themselves, explore what their body is really capable of doing and have fun doing so in a safe and friendly small group. 

You’ll also be covering the key components to remember when doing these postures i.e.. Hasta bandga , joint stacking etc.

What We’ll Be Covering:
There will be a strategic warm up flow, incorporating warming up and strengthening the key areas for the postures. 

Then we'll break down the postures and workshop them. We will very much work together as a group being each others eyes as you practice your technique so you can advise each other to ensure you are joint stacking/leaning into them enough etc.

The Postures:

  • Crow pose

  • Side Crow

  • Headstand 

  • Pike headstand 

  • Firefly 

Sophie will also demo and give you the chance to try a fun transition from Crow to Firefly and Crow to Headstand. 

There'll be a 10 min break mid way in which I will provide herbal teas and Power Balls to keep you going!

We’ll end with a warm down stretch. 

Who Is This Workshop For?

Students, already need to have a practice yoga and have a knowledge of these moves but are struggling to perfect them or lacking confidence and some key bits of knowledge so they're hesitant to integrate them into their practice but are physically capable to with guidance and practice. This course is not suitable for anyone with neck problems, high blood pressure or pregnant women.


Pilates Breakfast

Full Moon -Cacao Journey

Friday 24th May - 7-9pm (£30)

This includes 30g dose of ceremonial grade cup cacao, tarot card pull for the journey/meditation.

This truly magical journey is a wonderful deep dive into a meditation/journey that embraces the energy of the full moon and with the bountiful magical cup of Cacao and we will be honouring our personal intentions and align this to our every day lives.

Enjoy a ceremonial grade cup of cacao, beautiful meditations as well as tarot card pulls too.

Instructions

Just a few things to remember, please bring a blanket/s and pillow/s, a journal and pen, your favourite cup/mug, some water and an open mind.

Wear light comfy clothing as you will be sitting & lying down. Thick mats and bolsters are supplied at The Nest

Before hand, please don’t drink any alcohol, and eat something clean and light for tea (soup/ salad)

When working with cacao, it’s best to set an intention, this is something specific to you, in order to support you with deep healing &/ or personal growth.

Sound Bath & Breathwork

Sunday 2nd June - 6.00-7.30pm (£22)

 Join Yoga teacher and Sound therapist, Karolina, for some Sunday magic, as she takes you on a journey of breathwork & Sound - amazing tools for healing and mindfulness.

The session will begin with breathwork to release stress and tensions accumulated in the body, improve mental clarity and deepen the relationship to your breath and to yourself.

Next, we will immerse ourselves into the healing vibration of sound. This sound meditation uses Tibetan, Crystal bowls, Gongs and other harmonising instruments to vibrate the whole body and bring it back into a state of harmony - working on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

Sound Healing is an amazing way to improve your sleep patterns, energy flow within the body, emotional wellbeing, pain management, immune system and will soothe your nervous system and nourish your body.

What to bring:  A pillow and blanket and any other items to allow yourself to get super comfy during your sound healing. Eg. eye pillow, cosy socks for your feet.

We will be serving you warming herbal teas.

Toddler Yoga

4 WEEK BLOCK - Starting Wednesday 12th June at 9:45am

A lively session designed for pre school children aged from 18 months with Lucy from Mummy & Baby Buddies.

During our jam packed 45 minute session, we introduce children to our sensory and yoga-inspired programme.

It can be a great way of introducing young children to stretches, movements, stories, songs, relaxation and sensory play and its many benefits.

Throughout each session we will explore:
Yoga inspired poses
Sensory play
Singing
Stories
Mantras
Breathing technique's
Warmups
Relaxation
Meditation

Each session covers a different theme and it could be anything from artic animals to a day at the beach.

The sessions are lively, noisy, and most of all fun!

Baby Massage

4 WEEK BLOCK - Starting Wednesday 12th June at 11-12pm

An in depth 4 week Baby Massage Course helping your to learn to massage your Baby safely and securely with Lucy from Mummy & Baby Buddies.

The sessions are suitable for babies aged 6 weeks (post 6 week check) to crawling.

You will learn:
Back Strokes
Tummy Strokes
Chest & Arm Strokes
Leg Strokes
Head & Face Strokes
As well as a specially designed Colic Routine.

Each week we will learn a new set of strokes before we recap the strokes from the following week building up to a full body massage in week 4.

Refreshments are provided for the sessions and there’s always time for a chat!

During our last session, we will have our Graduation with your treats, certificate and photo opportunity.

Guided Relaxation & Meditation

Friday 28th June - 18.30-19.30pm - £12

This beautiful relaxation class is gently guided by Katy. It’s a whole hour of calmness, time and space that’s created just for you. This class will help support you press that pause button & drift into a rejuvenating deep relaxation.

It brings a sense of balance & calm to your mind & body…..and you will literally drift away with a deep sense of calm. We will start with focused breath work, then relax the whole body & finish with a deep guided relaxation. Bring your own blanket & pillow for cosiness, warmth, and comfort. We have special relaxation mats & bolsters provided for you, with beautiful aromatherapy oils to calm the senses. Are you ready to find your calm?
